Riesgo de trabajo, siendo este departamento el encargado de garantizar a los
colaboradores y empresarios, la seguridad y salud ocupacional mediante acciones
y programas de prevención y auditorias, brindando protección en las contingencias
de accidentes de trabajo o enfermedades profesionales.
De acuerdo con la Organización Internacional del trabajo (OIT) en el año 2018,
2.78 millones de trabajadores mueren cada año a causa de accidentes de trabajos
y enfermedades relacionadas con el trabajo. Mientras que algo más de 380.000
son el resultado de accidentes. Según se puede apreciar se constata el incremento
de los indicadores de accidentabilidad, poniendo en evidencia insuficiencias en el
desempeño de los sistemas de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo.
En este sentido se coincide con Gómez, Merino, Tapia, Espinoza y Echeverria
(2017) cuando afirman que las estadísticas oficiales sobre accidentes de trabajo
permitan conocer la siniestralidad laboral en los países y evaluar las políticas
públicas sobre seguridad y seguridad ocupacional.
En Ecuador existen estudios procedentes sobre la siniestralidad laboral,
evidenciando un incremento considerable de las notificaciones por accidente de
trabajo (Gómez y Suasnavas, 2015 y Gómez García et al. 2016.)
Es importante mencionar que las enfermedades profesionales son causadas por
diferentes factores ergonómicos y estructurales, a pesar de que se busca adaptar
el trabajo al hombre y cada hombre a su trabajo, es por esto que nace esta
investigación, de poder identificar el impacto que tienen sobre el desempeño
laboral las enfermedades profesionales en los colaboradores de las empresas de
limpieza de Manta, Montecristi y Jaramijó.
La importancia de este estudio se da, con la finalidad de dar a conocer a las
personas que manejan este tipo de empresas donde su principal servicio es ofrecer
limpiezas en áreas bancarias, comerciales, hospitalarias, casas, oficinas o
departamentos la importancia de informarse sobre los accidentes laborales y
enfermedades profesionales por las que pueden estar expuestos sus
colaboradores.
Todo trabajador que no tome en cuenta las normativas establecidas (OHSAS
18001:2001), puede desarrollar no solo accidentes si no también enfermedades
laborales con desarrollos lentos y con molestias que puedan afectar el desarrollo
de sus actividades diarias.
Es muy importante mencionar que serán objeto de estudios 3 empresas de
limpiezas de cada cantón que tienen más de 5 clientes en ambientes públicos o
privados y con un mínimo de 50 colaboradores activos en total dentro de estas
instituciones, se investigara a los colaboradores y directivos de estas empresas.
Analizaremos el conocimiento que mantienen estas dos partes en cuanto a
normativas y leyes vigentes sobre seguridad y salud ocupacional, la difusión que
existen en estas empresas sobre este tema, que medidas preventivas y correctivas
toman los directivos para que sus colaboradores gocen de una mejor salud dentro
de su entorno laboral.
