Resumen

The research highlighted the impact of small groups and the flipped classroom on English
learning at Monseñor Roberto Maria del Pozo Private School in Guasmo Central,
Guayaquil. With a mixed approach and descriptive design, data was collected from 30
third-year high school students and 4 English teachers. The result showed that smaller
groups promotes greater participation, interaction, and accuracy in learning compared to
larger classes. Additionally, methodologies such as the flipped classroom and the theory
of multiple intelligences strengthened of small groups improved student performance by
67%, based on the analysis on averages, classroom observations, and interviews with
teachers.
